An invoice is a commercial document issued by a seller to a buyer, relating to a sale transaction and indicating the products, quantities, and agreed prices and discounts (if any) for products or services the seller had provided the buyer.
It shows the date of shipment and mode of transport, delivery and payment terms.
In certain cases (especially when it is signed by the seller or seller’s agent), an invoice serves as a demand for payment .
