Zhou was born in 1962 in China. He reportedly graduated from Barrington University and Lincoln University in the U.S. His early career history is unclear. In 1994, Zhou co-founded the predecessor of ORG Packaging with his mother, Yuxiang Guan, who conceived the idea to establish the business while on a vacation in Hainan. The company is primarily involved in the research, development, design, manufacture and distribution of metal packaging products for food and beverage packaging applications.
