T. S. Kalyanaraman (birthed 1951) is an Indian entrepreneur best known as the chairman and also director of Kalyan Jewellers and Kalyan Developers. Kalyan is the holding company of Kalyan Jewellers.
Early life
Kalyanaraman birthed in Thrissur, into a Brahmin family members. He learned the business from his papa when he was 12, by helping his daddy in his shop. Later on he signed up with Sree Kerala Varma College and studied business.
Occupation
He started his first jewelry store named Kalyan Jewellers in Thrissur City in 1993 with a resources of Rs 75,00,000. Later he broadened the business to 32 showrooms around South India. In 2016, Forbes magazine’s newest annual tally of billionaires has listed Kalyanaraman in 1476th position with a net worth of $1.2 billion.
