Sol Daurella Comadrán (Barcelona, 1966) is a Spanish businesswoman, Chairman of Coca-Cola European Partners, a consumer packaged goods company that produces and distributes an extensive range of nonalcoholic ready-to-drink Coca-Cola beverages in13 European countries such as Spain, Portugal, France, Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland, among others1.
Biography
Sol Daurella is the granddaughter of the Spanish businessman Santiago Daurella i Rull and daughter of the employer Josep Daurella i Franco. She holds a degree in Business Administration and obtained her Master in Business Administration from ESADE2.
She studied in Switzerland and Berkeley (California, United States), where she got a Masters in Finance. In the year 1951, her family obtained a license to bottle and to distribute Coca-Cola in Spain3.[2] Her mother’s side of the family, the Comadrán family, was devoted to the textile industry.3
She is president of Coca-Cola European Partners, a company created in May 2016 following the merger of Coca-Cola Iberian Partners, Coca-Cola Enterprises and Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetränke. Coca-Cola European Partners is listed on the stock exchanges of Amsterdam, New York, London and Madrid. Since 1992, she has been the honorary consul of Iceland in Barcelona4. She is member of the board of the nonprofit institution Círculo de Economía of Barcelona. She also chairs the board of the National Theatre of Catalonia5 and is board member of the Palau de la Música Catalana 6[4][5] She is a member of the board of trustees of ESADE Foundation, “Amigos del Museo del Prado, and of the Spanish educational foundation “Empieza por Educar”. She also collaborates with the foundations of FERO (medical research), VHIO (institute of oncology), SHE (foundation for Science, Health and Education) and the Guttmann Institute (devoted to the prevention of cardiovascular illness). 7 8.
