IP Network Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage task assignment and ensure tasks are properly executed within reasonable timelines for the Network Engineers Team.
• Plan for and ensure the availability and quality of the network backbone, system servers, and service platform to provide Internet service to customers.
• Plan, design, and provide solutions for the network, system, and service for the company and customers.
• Respond to emergencies on any of the core network nodes in a timely manner.
• Supervise the Network Engineer team in the implementation of change requests, troubleshooting/root cause analysis, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Advise the Commercial Team on issues regarding Core Network, Server Systems, and Service Platforms.
• Ensure Network Engineer related projects are delivered in adherence to proper standards and timelines.
• Manage, coordinate, and supervise the Network Engineer team to closely monitor node utilizations, plan expansions and upgrades, and maintain acceptable service availability.
• Coordinate and engage with all other teams in the company on project/task/issues regarding Core Network, Server Systems, and Service Platform.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, partners, and customers on contract and procedure formulation, required upgrades, configuration management, trouble tickets, and other aspects of system support.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOP) in the company.
• Develop provisioning processes and automation to streamline network operations.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science/Telecommunications/Electrical/Electronic or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Good working knowledge of networking technologies, especially IP and MPLS (such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, etc.). Knowledge base must include IP routing, MPLS related technologies, as well as layer 1 and 2 networking technologies like TDM and Ethernet.
• Professional certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc.) will be an advantage.
• Aptitude and attitude to continuously upgrade and refresh knowledge in networking technologies.
• Master’s degree in management is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
• Project planning and management skills.
• Proficiency in forecasting, budgeting, and strategic use of resources.
• Strong leadership, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with both tech-savvy and non-technical staff.
• Practical network managerial experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in an ISP environment is essential.
• Experience with network security is a plus.

Minimum of five years of work experience in the related field, preferably in operations, management, or service areas.
