Hary Tanoesoedibjo (Chinese: 陳明立; pinyin: Chén Mínglì) is an Indonesian billionaire businessman and politician. He is the President Director of PT MNC Investama Tbk, which he founded in 2009. As the founder of MNC Group, he oversees and develops the strategy of the holding company and its subsidiaries, bringing them to be prominent companies in their respective areas.
In the media sector, he serves as President Director of PT Global Mediacom Tbk (since 2002), President Director of RCTI (2003-2008 and 2010–present) and President Commissioner of PT MNC Sky Vision Tbk (since 2006). In the non-media sector, he serves as President Commissioner of PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk (since July 1999), President Commissioner of PT MNC Securities (since February 2004), Commissioner of PT Global Transport Services (since March 2010), President Director of PT MNC Land Tbk (since April 2011), and President Director of PT MNC Energi (since February 2012). In addition to his role as a speaker at national and international media events, he lectures in post-graduate programs at several universities in the fields of corporate finance, investment and management strategies.

Early life
Hary was born in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia, on 26 September 1965, the son of local businessman Mr. Tanoesoedibjo. He is the youngest of six siblings. After finishing high school, he studied at Carleton University with his siblings and cousins in Canada. In 1988, he gained a bachelor of commerce, then master’s of business administration, completed in 1989 at the University of Ottawa. Hary married Liliana Tanaja and they have five children, the only son being Warren Haryputra Tanoesoedibjo.

He paid approximately $200 million for 5 toll-road concessions owned by Bakrie, as well as $143 million for 2,500 acres big area of Bali Nirwana Resort. However, his offer of $427 million to buy ANTV, Bakrie’s TV station, is on hold.
