Born Gleb Gennadievich Fetisov in a small town of Moscow in 1966, he started to generate his net worth in 1990 when he joined the Central Economic Institute of Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Having earned his Bachelor’s and Doctor’s degree from Moscow State University, he joined Alfa Group in 1995 initially working at Alfa Eco. In the meantime, he also held various leading posts in commercial banks, financial and industrial companies; all within a short period from 1993 to 1996. Next, he became the arbitration manager of Achinsk alumina refinery in the Krasnoyarsk region, a position that he held from 1996 to 2000.
