Dr. Erman Ilıcak, (born 1967, Darende, Malatya) is a Turkish businessman, investor, and president of Rönesans Holding.
Biography
Completed secondary education in TED Ankara College in 1985. Graduated from Middle East Technical University’s Department of Civil Engineering in 1990. Completed Vienna Economy University and Minnesota University’s MBA program in 2002. Received a doctorate from International School of Management in Paris in 2011. He is married with 3 children.
Business Life
Began his working career while he was student, Erman Ilıcak founded Rönesans (Renaissance) Holding in St. Petersburg in 1993. He continues his tenure as the President of Rönesans Holding. Rönesans Holding operates in Russia , Turkey, Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Austria, Azerbaijan,Iraq,Libya, Gabon, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and work in Qatar. In Forbes’ list of “100 Richest Turks”, Erman Ilıcak was ranked as number 10, possessing a wealth of 2.5 billion dollars. Erman Ilıcak became the General Commissioner for Europalia International Arts Festival, where Turkey will attend as guest country in 2015. He was named the “Businessman of the Year” by business magazine Ekovitrin. He is also Member of the Board of Trustees of TED University and President of TED Ankara Kolejliler Sports Club.
