Bennett Dorrance owns a 15% stake in Campbell Soup Co., which his grandfather John T Dorrance took over in 1914 and expanded on the back of his invention of the condensed soup formula in 1897. The company pulls in $8 billion in revenues and its portfolio of brands includes Pepperidge Farm, Prego and V8. Dorrance is also a founding partner of DMB Associates, a real estate development firm with projects in Arizona, Utah, California and Hawaii. Since 1999 his Dorrance Scholarship Programs have helped send first-generation college students to Arizona’s three public universities and South Mountain Community College. A licensed pilot, Dorrance owns a private hangar in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he also houses his vintage car collection.
