My name is Brett Dutton. I have been living in Cambodia since July 2019. I have been coming here for over a year but made the permanent move in July. I have a work permit for 2019. I have fully embraced the Cambodian lifestyle, and have a desire to get my Cambodian citizenship in 7 years.
I have a 30-year background in IT. I have seen and worked on many systems including university student information systems, telecommunications, and networking. My core skills are leadership, management, and programming. I have the business acumen to apply my skills to almost any industry. I have performed successfully in a similar role.
I am currently running a school as a favor for a friend while they find a more suitable Head of School. I have been applying my IT Management techniques to teachers. They seem to be responding well to the IT techniques. They are learning about agile, and I have been mentoring my course coordinators in basic management techniques regarding meetings and supporting their staff. As a leader, I take the responsibility of removing all obstacles from my team to ensure that they can do their job to the maximum of their abilities. My friend has found a more suitable Head of School now so I am searching for a new position more suited to my skillset.
I have a full understanding of the payscales in Cambodia and accept that a Salary commensurate with my skills is much lower in Cambodia then in my home country. I would enjoy the opportunity of coming and meeting you to discuss my skills and how I can apply to your company.
